New heat pump was installed in November 2019. On 16 January 2020 unit blew an internal fuse. Cause of blown fuse was a short in one of the wires running from the inside unit to the outside unit. The 16 year old wire that was exposed to the elements was not replaced. Repair was not covered under the warranty of work and I had to pay to get the heat pump repaired. The wire should have been replaced during the new installation.
UPDATE:1/22/2020. Issue has been resolved. There was a misunderstanding as to what would occur during the new installation. Recommend when you get a quote make sure you know what will be done and what will not be done.
I purchased a Trane HVAC system in October 2018. It has not only been a great system, but i was glad i went with W.E.Brown. It was a pleasure working with Jerry Kidd, he was very helpful in finding a system that fitted my needs; he was knowledgeable, punctual by phone and email throughout the whole process and has a laid back--not pushy style! Travis was very thorough and did a great job on my first service and Chrissy and all the office staff have been great as well! I highly recommend W.E.Brown, although they are well established, you can tell they genuinely care about their customers and are not resting on their laurels!
WE Brown is the third H&A contractor we have had in CVille. We have been with them for three years. They are not the biggest, but they are the best.
For example, our AC unit quick working on a hot summer day. I called and got priority service. WE Brown was there within the hour and we had AC that afternoon. With our last contractor, we got put on a list and sweated for two days.
A second example. This week the furnace fan motor was emitting an electrical smell and was loud. I called and they had two technicians out working, but the first one to finish would be there. No hurry, I said, gas fireplace was keeping us warm. WE Brown was there in under an hour. The fan motor had been replaced by another contractor three years before and was probably under warranty. WE Brown found that an undersize capacitor was installed and caused the premature failure. New motor and new capacitor was installed. It is QUIET. The big news: The job cost was 1/3 of the previous contractor.
WE Brown may not be the biggest, but they are the best. Switch companies while you have a chance.

I had a clothes dryer that needed converted to run on propane and connected up to the LP line in the house safely and correctly. Daniel M. came and was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough in converting the unit to run on propane and run the line in the basement from the manifold to the dryer. I'm glad I enlisted a company with professional and experienced people to do the job correctly and well. I would definitely recommend the company and especially Daniel for any friends and neighbors who have plumbing jobs they need done in their homes. Very satisfied and will use them in the future for any tasks that are beyond my comfort level.
Our water pressure tank developed a pinhole leak the day before eight family members were to arrive for Thanksgiving. W.E. Brown was able to send someone out the same day, and Daniel Maupin, our plumber, went far above and beyond to take care of us. He was here late, cutting into his personal time, and had to drive 30 minutes away to source the parts he needed, and came back to finish the job the same night! That kind of work ethic is hard to find these days...
This company offers absolutely stellar service! Erin is a wonderful person to manage our requests for service. Travis is very professional and always able to not only solve our problems, but is excellent at explaining what is going on, what needed repair and how to properly use the system.
I have used WE Brown for over 10 years. I can honestly say I have never had a problem with the work they have done.
Their Staff are always pleasant to work with.
Sam is a great technician and can explain problems at a level a non-technician can understand.
