8 Really Cool Features of Carrier’s Infinity Thermostats

Carrier Infinity Thermostat

The latest trend in smart home technology in Afton, Virginia is smart thermostats. These thermostats operate based on your temperature preferences and save you money by calculating the optimal temperature settings for energy efficiency. Best of all, you can control all features from an app on your phone. Carrier’s line of smart, innovative thermostats include the Infinity thermostats which offer great features that make AC efficiency and home comfort a breeze. The following are some of the best features of Carrier’s Infinity thermostats:

Customizable Schedules

You are able to schedule your thermostat at any time, and set up a different schedule for each day of the week for up to four specific times of day: awake, home, away, and sleep. Setting up and editing the schedules for each day in each zone of your home is easy, and can be easily changed to suit your preference at any time.

Touch-N-Go Control

If you need to make a change to your normal schedule for any period, all you have to do is tap the Touch-N-Go icons on the main screen to change your temperature profile. You are able to manage a variety of settings from one control.

Vacation Setup

If you will be away from home for an extended period, you can access settings that allow you to enter additional or temporary settings without losing your usual weekly settings. Set vacation temperatures in your home to start the moment you leave and end the moment you return.

Set Reminders

You are also able to receive notifications when your system needs maintenance. There are options for reminders for various tasks such as changing the filter. Having your system provide these kinds of reminders is convenient and can also help to save you from costly maintenance or more problems down the road.

Upload a Photo

Personalize your thermostat with a photo. When the thermostat goes into screen saver mode, it will display the photo, making it look more like a framed photo on the wall than a thermostat. You can also dim the backlight, so that the thermostat uses less electricity.

Track Energy Spending

Using an app with your thermostat will even allow you to manage your energy spending by generating daily, monthly, and yearly reports. It shows how much energy was used when cooling, heating, or various fan modes were selected. You will also be able to obtain a summation of the total amount of electricity and/or gas consumed. Energy in terms kilowatt-hours (kWh) and the cost of associated with the amount of energy spent are easily accessible. It is a very useful tool, and you will also be able to compare energy usage over different periods.

Weather Forecasting

Your thermostat also provides five-day weather forecasts. It shows the daily highs and lows and precipitation levels for the current day, as well as for the following four days to help you to more effectively determine the temperature settings.

Service Help

If something should go wrong with your system, a message on the screen will indicate the source of the problem. You are also able to easily access information about your thermostat such as the model and serial numbers. This will make it easier for you to provide this information when you make a service call. This information is also essential when you call a professional to make repairs.

The Infinity thermostats also use stock optional features and devices such as dedicated wireless routers to make your thermostat even more valuable for your home comfort. The devices are very user-friendly and will make a huge difference in how you see air conditioning and managing temperatures in your home. Thermostats are a great investment, and realize their value quickly by improving the efficiency of your air conditioning system and helping to reduce your energy bills.
